Clarenco Launches Stanbrook Abbey, Worcestershire
-Phase one of development completed and new butler service with a twist introduced –
Clarenco, a collection of amazing retreats in spectacular locations, has announced the completion of phase one of a three phase multi million pound development of Stanbrook Abbey, an extensive former monastery set in 21 acres of Worcestershire countryside. Opening for guests on 23 July 2012, Stanbrook Abbey will host luxury weddings, events, concerts, and corporate functions and will also boast an exclusive five bedroom manor house, Brides Manor, available for exclusive use. In addition there will be a stunning new bistro serving contemporary style breakfast, lunches and evening meals for day visitors and overnight guests.
To celebrate the completion of phase one of Stanbrook Abbey, Clarenco has launched a 50 per cent discount for exclusive use guests to Brides Manor. The five bedroom, Georgian style manor house adjoins the abbey and has its own private entrance through the chapel. As well as luxury accommodation, Brides Manor has a drawing room, study and beautiful kitchen, ideal for entertaining. This introductory offer includes a 50% saving off of normal rates, with one night stays from just £700 throughout August – that works out at £70 per person based on 10 sharing. Private parties wishing to up the ante on the luxury stakes can book the exclusive butler service at Brides Manor, the only service of its kind in Worcestershire. Acting as a concierge, sommelier, party planner, waiter and general right hand man, the butler will be able to select appropriate wines, serve drinks and dinner, book local attractions and evening events and arrange for a quintessential English afternoon tea to be served. The butler service is available from £250 per day for a minimum of two days.

The Callow Great Hall
The Callow Great Hall has been carefully restored to its former glory and is now available for musical shows, corporate events, large banqueting events and corporate conferences. With a stunning Pugin vaulted ceiling and carefully designed stained glass windows, this former chapel ensures that any event held in it will have a real sense of occasion. Callow Great Hall offers fantastic acoustics and is ideal for all manner of classical and contemporary music seating 60 people in the stalls. The Callow Great Hall also provides a majestic backdrop for dinners and banquets and can seat up to 100 guests.
Thompson Hall is a multi function event venue and one of the largest function rooms within Stanbrook Abbey. Featuring lots of original features including hand carved wood panelling, the Thompson Hall is perfect for banquets, wedding breakfasts and more formal dinner and dances. There are also plans to extend the hall in late 2013 to provide even more expansive space. Stanbrook Abbey’s on-site catering kitchen and full complement of waiting staff can easily accommodate large corporate events and large weddings with banqueting space for up to 80 and receptions of up to 110. This will extend to 180 guests for banqueting and 280 for receptions in early 2013.
The Piano Bar
Luxuriously furnished with opulent blacks and reds, The Piano Bar features a glorious grand piano and cocktail bar, where guests can prepare for a formal evening in the Thompson Hall and Stanbrook Abbey can provide a talented pianist to set the mood of the evening. This glorious reception room is perfect for meeting and greeting, wedding receptions, civil ceremonies, speeches and cocktail receptions.
The bistro is a beautiful restaurant within the main abbey. Its art deco style floors are bathed in light from the cloisters and offer a contemporary dining area for breakfasts, lunches and evening meals.
The Clarence Room
Next to the Bistro, as an addition to the restaurant, is the Clarence Room. Decorated in a similar style, The Clarence Room is perfect for private dining, meetings and small private receptions.
The Boardroom in Stanbrook Abbey offers a quiet meeting space, set apart from the catering and banqueting wings of the Abbey. With original parquet flooring, high ceilings and plenty of natural daylight, The Boardroom makes for an interesting and unusual working space. The boardroom offers its own private entrance and is perfect for corporate presentations for up to 30, meetings, theatre style conferences and executive formal boardroom style meetings for up to 16.
